Celebrity Apprentice star Teresa Giudice, author and daughter of crime boss John Gotti, Victoria Gotti, pop stars Debbie Gibson, Aubrey O'Day and Tia Carrere, models Cheryl Tiegs, Patricia Velasquez, former Miss Universe, Dayana Mendoza, and raunchy comedian Lisa Lampanelli.

The celebrity version was first introduced as the seventh cycle of The Apprentice and came after NBC left the reality series produced and created by Mark Burnett (Survivor) off the network’s schedule. The celebrities-competing-for-charity element came as viewership for the flagship series dipped from an average of 20 million from its first season to 7 million for its sixth frame.
The freshman run of the celebrity installment that crowned Piers Morgan its winner fueled the series to a ratings uptick, with Season 7 averaging 11 million viewers.
